I hope this list hits gets ridiculously long. For financial reasons, the list will likely include small new things, but really the little details are the most grand sometimes.
1. Watched Yodelling Contest2. Saw Salad on a Stick3. Eat Emu4. Rev Theory & Shinedown Concert5. Iowa State Fair6. Placed a bet on a horse race7. Won on a bet placed on a horse race. 8.Played a $.25 lottery ticket9. Purchased a Cubs T-Shirt10. Walked around a Bass Pro store
11. Eat Dewey's Pizza
--tasty pizza new-ish place in Grandview on 5th. A bit pricer than Grandad's but Grandad's does not offer me goat cheese either so the prices make sense. They have several speciality pizzas and will do a half and half any size with any substitutions at no additional cost. The veggies were very fresh and the combos of the speciality pizza different, interesting, and very tasty.
Another Bob & Tom Classic...
I thought of this yesterday afternoon driving home from work. There is one corner on 5th avenue that is the smoke center for the company next to it. I was in my car driving and while passing by I felt I was smoking with them, that's how much smoke was in the air. Of course it was a group of about 10 people. I guess they were not near the doors of their building so they were doing as told, but good grief.
Hey, did you know-IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!

I did read this summer, I just didn't make my goal of 10 books by the library's deadline. J.A. Jance wrote Web of Evil and it was a great light summer mystery. The characters were easy to connect with and the story was a little fluffy, but fun. Well, as fluffy as murder can be I guess.
She has another series of books that I have tried to read in the past, but just could not get into them. This book however appears to be the first in another series. I checked out the next book in the series, but didn't even get a chance to crack it open before it was due back at the library and haven't gotten back to it yet.
On another note, I'm currently listening to Bob & Tom, yes, I know sad but true. If you have ever been driving toward Cincinnati you have seen Jesus--Big Butter Jesus. Gotta Love this song, it's perfect for an early morning smile.

I know, who am I to simply hand out wisdom, but just hear me out, then judge. Ok, it’s Friday, give me a little break.
*If you are standing at a bus stop early in the morning, you are not invisible, just because it’s early. Keep this in mind—when yawning because you need your morning coffee, cover your mouth. It’s a scary site for passersby’s when you don’t. No one is cute when they yawn, not even Ryan Reynolds.
*If you are driving on a small street and you have a motorcycle in front of you, be patient. It is not in your best interest to try and pass the motorcycle simply because you are likely late for work. This is how accidents happen, dumb ass!
*If you are attending orientation with your soon to be college student, lay off the booze and ciggies at least the night before. I don’t want my office to smell like the bar hag at the local dive.
*Think of life’s lemons as flavor for your life story.
Now see, wasn’t that good advice. I thought so. Now go forth and enjoy your weekend!

Today has brought a few random moments or thoughts to surface.
*I got a call letting me know I was a winner in the Summer Reading Club drawing. Yeah me! It’s a gift card, but don’t know what kind. The really sad part is, I failed, yep, I didn’t make the 10 books, but I did turn in a slip for the drawings for the ones I did read—so there you go kids, you don’t have to reach your goals, you just have to make them and put forth some effort.
*I hate public restrooms. Today I was in a different building for Orientation. I had use the facilities. Now, I’m short, but seriously I’ve never seen such tall toilets. WTF, what if you don’t want to touch it, ick! Then began the entire process of covering every inch with tissue paper then a weird half sit, half squat just to pee. Seriously, this should be easier. The whole process must happen every time I have to use a public restroom.
*I will have a new supervisor as of September 1. The person chosen from the list of options was the best one as far as I’m concerned. However, I think it’s time to be on the job search on a more consistent fashion and not just looking now and then. With the offering of options, I’ll likely be in my job for some time to come, but if you know of any great opportunities, please pass them along.
*I wish I had a fun/cool accent. Instead, I have this mid-western non-accent. Hmm.
Well, let’s hope Thursday is not as random or maybe it should be.

It's been awhile since an "if I can you can too" has been posted. It's about time I guess. This is so simple, trust me.
You will need a grill, ok well you could do this in a skillet, but I used a grill.
Honey Carrots...
Then get a few cleaned carrots. You can do the work or you can let someone else.
Simply put the carrots on the foil. It is best if the grill is hot by this point.
Give the carrots a bit of salt and pepper
Drizzle the honey on the carrots. A good bit will be needed, you want the carrots covered. Now you will have to shut the grill lid and let the carrots cook. I like mine a bit crunchy if possible, but that's to taste. Keep an eye on the carrots, the honey can burn. You will likely want to add a bit more honey before taking them off the grill and serving.

Ms. H is a lovely person, she called me up Sunday and said hey get your butt ready, we are going to lunch to celebrate your birthday. Now my birthday is not for a week, but sure no problem, I'm always up for an early afternoon Margarita and Mexican food. Ms. H rocks! Well, we went to the Baja Fresh at the Lenox Shopping Center. Be aware, the converstation with Ms. H grand, the food and drinks at the Baja Fresh were Baja Gross! Don't do it kids, don't do it. It was the first time both of us had then there and for me, likely the last. Again, my blog, my review, but trust me.
Now on to more fun items like pics from the Dublin Irish Fest. Yes, I finally got them off my point and shoot camera. Yes, I found my point and shoot camera. The pics are not grand, but fun none the less. Ready--in no particular order...

I needed a nice laugh this afternoon, it’s been a interesting couple of weeks here on the work horizon. I got that laugh, when I found out there is a student organization at OSU called Bacon Bacon Bacon. The purpose statement for this organization is: “Tri-Bacon will exist to educate and advocate for the advancement of bacon within the OSU community as well as the greater Columbus area. We will be using bacon as a means to socialize, network and widen our culinary horizons.”
So there you have it, your Friday afternoon smile thanks to Tri-Bacon. Enjoy the weekend!

The deadline is quickly approaching-yikes I have fear, but am pushing forward reading and listening to books at all free moments.
Book number two was Things I Overheard While Talking To Myself by Alan Alda. I like biographies, l like non-fiction material in general if it’s on a topic I enjoy. I loved the show Mash, so of course I would pick up the Alan Alda book thinking it would be funny and grand. Boy, was I wrong. If you see this book at your local library, I would leave it on the shelf. Alda may think himself funny, but I found his book boring and slow to read. I give this book a half a star. If you can, don’t when it comes to this read.
I'm just a putz and the photos from the fest and the fair are still on my camera--but I do have a few random photos that never made it to the blog that will have to keep you happy for right now. I'd like to say that my putzyness will be gone soon, but I'm afraid it's a life time affliction.
This is Daisy...
Disclaimer: I did not take the photos of Daisy, but they were on my camera, so I feel I can use them. ha!

July 31 and August 1, I sent my time enjoying Irish music and culture. Ah, good times. Now those photos are still coming, but I wanted to give you an idea of some of the great items at the fest.
The music was grand!
Gaelic Storm rocked, of course, as they always do.
The Prodigals were good-now they are just not the same since Ray left, but still good.
The Screaming Orphans, yep you read correctly, were a nice surprise. I had never heard of them, but they were good. I recommend looking them up at your local Irish Fest.

I do have loads to report on, but didn't get time to download photos from camera and work load for job has increased to point of frustration right now.
I hope to have photos tomorrow.
Don't forget to vote today if you have issues up in your area, I plan to vote and will, just didn't get to it this morning.
Happy Tuesday!
